Denmark Lining Up Tax Relief For Sharing Economy Income

Tuesday, June 5, 2018

The Danish Government recently announced that it will enhance tax relief for those making small amounts of income from the sharing economy.

The Government said an agreement has been reached with support from opposition political party lawmakers on increasing the amount of income that can be received free from income tax, to DKK10,000 (USD1,560) for sharing the use of a vehicle and to either DKK28,000 or DK40,000 for temporary accommodation.

It added that, in 2021, it will launch a simplified system to support taxpayers to comply more easily with their sharing economy tax obligations.
